Previous Site Designs
Asda's Place 1.0 - The Original Design
The original website was designed so it was simple and easy to update. The site used HTML and my Blog was syndicated using the Coranto news posting script. The site had information about me, my projects, my resume, links and and a contact me page. The design used a shade of blue for the menu bar, a white background and a very light blue for the content.
Asda's Place Version 2.0
Version 2.0 of my website was a major revamp of the site design. I took the side menu out completely and added a top menu bar instead. I also changed the colour scheme completely. The new site layout was gray and blue and was designed for simplicity. The blog software was switched to Cutenews, as it it works in PHP and the whole site was designed in PHP. (Yes, my 1st PHP website!)
Asda's Place 3.0
Version 3.0 of the website used a script called Wordpress. I used Wordpress, because at the time, I did not have the time to manage a website, so it was easy to use and manage. The site had the same features as previous versions. Over the time, I have changed the top graphic to various images. The top image in the screenshot below, shows Blackpool Beach from the top of Blackpool Tower.
Asda's Place 4.0 - The Current Site Release
Asda's Place version 4.0, used html and PHP. The blog is syndicated using Cute News. In this version, I have added loads of new features, such as The Changelog, Projects Page, Autism and MS info, my web links, a legal page and also a form to send me an email. This is the 1st layout, where the blog has a separate page for all my posts. The whole site uses a green, black and white colour scheme and uses Verdana as the typeset. The site is the easiest release to navigate and is user friendly. Asda's Place also conforms to the Bobby Accessibility Standards. Asda's Place 4.0 also now has it's own domain name: www.aaron-bennett.co.uk!
Asda's Place 5.0
Version 5, is the latest release of my website and has a teal and white design. The site uses CSS, HTML and SSI, throughout the design. The design sits nicely on screen in both Firefox and Internet explorer and is complient with most modern Internet Browsers.
