Okay, I am working hard with Benn at Stalmine.net, on the Resinet Project. Benn and I have decided to scrap the idea of using Novell Netware for the project and instead are going to use Windows 2003 as the Server Operating System. As I type this, Benn is in the middle of installing Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition on the server, which is at the Stalmine Datacentre.

The good thing about the network, is that it will be avalable for anyone who lives along the Fylde Coast. The Network Registry, will act as a gateway, meaning only authenenticated users can acces Networked Resources. These users will be managed, using the LADP Protocol. (Local Area Directory Protocol) Users will also have access to the 24 hour ticketing system, which will allow them to contact the Helpdesk, should they need help with their account.

So what does Resinet give users?

1) A 24 Hour High Speed Connection to the Network
2) Access to the Central File Store, for saving Documents and access to shared resources
3)24 Hour access to our Telephony System
4)24 Hour Ticketing System and Full Helpdesk Service

I'll post more info on Resinet as soon as there is anything to report. For now, I am gunna carry on putting up Xmas Decs!
